These terms govern your use of golfpool.club (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. Please read the money and gambling sections carefully.
golfpool.club is a tool for organizing private fantasy-golf salary-cap and pick-’em pools with live scoring, leaderboards, and optional reminders. It’s free to run a pool; an optional one-time purchase removes the in-house promo from a pool.
golfpool.club does not collect, hold, escrow, or pay out any entry fees, dues, stakes, or prizes. Any money associated with your pool is arranged and settled directly between participants, entirely outside the Service. The optional “pay your entry” buttons are just convenience deep-links to third-party apps (Venmo, PayPal, Cash App) chosen by your commissioner — the money goes straight to them and never touches us.
You are solely responsible for ensuring your pool is legal where you and your participants are located. Contest and wagering laws vary by jurisdiction. We are not a party to your pool, we don’t run games of chance for money, and we provide no legal advice. If real-money contests are restricted where you are, don’t use the Service for them.
Don’t use the Service to break the law, run a pool that’s illegal where you are, harass others, scrape or overload the system, attempt to access data that isn’t yours, or interfere with the Service’s operation. As a commissioner, you’re responsible for your pool’s rules, conduct, and any money your participants exchange.
Because the upgrade unlocks a digital benefit immediately, purchases are generally final. However, if you were charged in error, charged more than once, or the feature didn’t work as described, email [email protected] within 14 days and we’ll make it right, including a refund where appropriate. This does not limit any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
Scores and standings are derived from third-party data (e.g. ESPN) and may be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect. They’re for entertainment only and are not authoritative for settling anything. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, and we don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, golfpool.club and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any disputes, losses, or money exchanged between pool participants. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US $20, whichever is greater.
You can delete your account at any time (profile menu → Danger zone → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or misuse the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. money/gambling responsibility, disclaimers, liability limits) survive termination.
We may update these terms as the Service evolves; we’ll revise the “Effective” date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator of golfpool.club resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there for any dispute not subject to binding arbitration or small-claims resolution.
